Old Maples
Rawsonville, Vermont

In the spring of each year, when the nights are cold and the days are warm, we would listen for the "ping, ping" of maple sap filling buckets. Unfortunately sap buckets are fast becoming a memory as rubber tubing is a more efficient method of collecting that forty gallons of sap needed to make each gallon of syrup. The old ways are fast disappearing.
